Lee recently surpassed 200 appearances as he heads into his seventh season at Bonnyrigg Rose, having originally signed for the club once his contract at neighbours Newtongrange Star expired.‘Cuzza’ was an instant success from his arrival and his average of almost a goal every other game is an outstanding contribution from midfield. He is lethal from dead ball situations and his goal from a free kick at Hill of Beath secured Bonnyrigg’s fourth Superleague title in 2018.
Lee finished as joint-top scorer in the 2020/21 Scottish Cup alongside Hibernian's Christian Doidge, despite only playing two games. scoring a hat-trick against Bo'ness United and a brace against Dundee – all of which came from the penalty spot.
His goalscoring exploits have continued, with his inch-perfect free-kick against Fraserburgh in the Highland/Lowland Play-Offs at NDP voted as the club’s 2021/22 Goal of the Season.
