Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic F.C. v Cowdenbeath F.C.
Lowland League 2025-26
13/12/2025 3:00pm
We return to New Dundas Park as we welcome Cowdenbeath in our latest Lowland League fixture.
Both sides were scheduled to be in League action on Tuesday night with Bonnyrigg Rose at Cumbernauld Colts and Cowdenbeath meeting Linlithgow Rose.
“The Rose” match was postponed prior to the kick off due to structural damage at Broadwood Stadium due to Storm Bram with the match now to be rescheduled.
Cowdenbeath were at home at Central Park where the match did get underway but was abandoned just after the half hour mark with Linlithgow a goal up but with the storm wind making any type of play impossible leading to the referee taking the teams off the park.
Bonnyrigg Rose will aim to maintain the excellent form over the past number of weeks that have seen the side rise to 2nd in the League table.
This is the return fixture after the sides met early in the season when the “Blue Brazil” claimed all 3 points with a 2-1 victory.
Despite Cammie Ross giving Bonnyrigg Rose the lead on the half hour two quick fire goals from the home side just after half time was not the result “The Rose” were looking for in the second away League fixture of the season after an excellent win at Gala Fairydean a few days before.
Manager Jonny Stewart pre match review.
Disappointed that the Cumbernauld game was called off due to stadium damage but with the winds that strong I’m kind of glad it was.
For me, wind is the worst condition to play in and turns the game into a bit of a lottery.
Going back to last Saturday and it was a massive win for us.
I thought it was a very close game with 2 good sides going at it. I was delighted to come away with 3 points especially as we had a few players missing.
We must back that up though on Saturday against Cowdenbeath.
The league is very tight at the top and we can’t afford to drop any points.
We obviously lost to Cowdenbeath at the start of the season, so we know it won’t be easy.
The boys are on a fantastic run now and hopefully that continues this weekend with another 3 points.
Mon the rose
