Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic F.C. v Linlithgow Rose F.C.
Lowland League 2025-26
18/04/2026 3:00pm New Dundas Park
We are down to the final match of this Lowland League season and the final set of the Lowland League in this format.
From next season the Lowland League will be split into East and West as well as the Highland League who will all operate in tier 5 of the pyramid structure.
Linlithgow Rose are the visitors to New Dundas Park for this important end of season fixture.
As it stands Bonnyrigg Rose will require to win by at 6 clear goals and require Caledonian Braves to defeat Clydebank at Holm Park.
Linlithgow Rose will be crowned Champions if they win this match or draw this match if Clydebank fail to win.
Clydebank will be Champions if they win and Linlithgow fail to win as their Goal difference is superior to Linlithgow Rose.
Unfortunately for Bonnyrigg Rose the draw last time out at Broxburn Athletic has taken the destination of the League Title out of our own hands.
Despite second half goals from Lee Currie and Neil Martyniuk Bonnyrigg were unable to find the winning goal after a disappointing first half performance that gave us ultimately too much to do in the second half.
Linlithgow Rose defeated Clydebank 4-1 at Prestonfield to give them the opportunity of clinching the Title in what has been a topsy turvy season in the Lowland League.
A hat trick from experienced striker Blair Henderson and McGowan strike just before half time secured the win for Linlithgow after Clydebank had had a man sent of in the early stages of the match.
In the reverse fixture in December Bonnyrigg Rose secured an excellent 1-2 away victory with goals from Alassan Jones and Cammie Ross.
A massive thank you for all the support you have given to the team and the club again this season it has been greatly appreciated.

Match Preview thoughts of Manager Jonny Stewart.
What should have been one of the biggest and best fixtures in the club’s history doesn’t quite have the same feeling to it now.
We needed a favour on Saturday, and we got that but unfortunately, we didn’t take care of our own business.
Missed chances and poor defending gave us a mountain to climb at half time.
I thought history was going to repeat itself at Broxburn when we got it back to 2-2 but sadly it wasn’t quite to be.
While it is still mathematically possible to win the league, we know it’s an almost impossible task.
Saying that, we will approach the game professionally, give it our best shot and try and win the game.
We want to finish the season as strong as possible and that means winning on Saturday and setting us up for the cup final.
Hopefully we still get a good turnout for the final home game of the season.
The fans have been brilliant again this season and it is greatly appreciated from everyone within the club.
Cmon the rose
