Celtic F.C. B v Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic F.C.
Lowland League 2025-26
21/03/2026 3:00pm Excelsior Stadium
Firstly, a massive well done to Jonny and all the team on reaching the East of Scotland Qualifying Cup final after defeating Tranent 4-0 under the lights at New Dundas Park and will now meet Camelon in the Final. (Date/Venue TBC).
This weekend we travel to the Excelsior Stadium Airdrie to play Celtic B in the Lowland League.
With only five League games remaining this season “The Rose” are still in the driving seat at the top of the table with several teams chasing very close behind.
Celtic B who are currently under Interim Manager Johnny Hayes have had a mixed season and are currently in 7th place and are among the highest scorers in the Division and will provide a competitive contest on the large Championship pitch.
Last time out Celtic B travelled to Tranent where two goals in the first ten minutes put the home side in control.
Despite Celtic B scoring early in the second half a further Tranent goal cemented a 3-1 victory.
Bonnyrigg Rose got back to winning ways with a 4-0 home win over Heart of Midlothian B with all the goals being full of quality with a Josh Laing header giving the home side a half time lead.
Alassan Jones scored an excellent goal at the start of the second half and a Kallum Higinbotham header and a left foot strike from Josh Laing completed the scoring in an entertaining contest.
In the reverse fixture that was played at Ferguson Park “The Rose” secured a 5-1 victory with two first half Neil Martyniuk goals and a Billy King strike gave Bonnyrigg Rose a strong half time advantage.
An own goal and a Cammie Ross long range effort did not complete the scoring as despite the away side having a player sent off they scored a late consolation goal.
