Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic F.C. v Berwick Rangers F.C.
Lowland League 2025-26
This Saturday we welcome Berwick Rangers to Ferguson Park for Matchday 10 in this seasons Park`s Motor Group Lowland League.
Both sides come into this match after a defeat in their previous League match.
Bonnyrigg Rose travelled to Foresters Park Tranent and in a match of very few chances “The Rose” went down to a second half injury time penalty.
Berwick Rangers who are now managed by Kevin Haynes who was previously in charge at Dunbar United were defeated 2-3 at Shielfield Park by Gala Fairydean Rovers.
Prior to this week’s fixtures “The Rose” are currently sitting in 7th place with the visitors in 13th and both clubs’ will be looking to move up the table starting with this match.
The previous three league matches between these sides have provided 16 goals with Bonnyrigg Rose being victorious in them all and will be aiming to maintain this record.
The thoughts of Manager Jonny Stewart –
Hello and welcome back to Ferguson Park for another Lowland League fixture.
It was nice to get a break from league business last week and make a few changes in the cup.
I thought the boys who came in done well and on another day, we could have scored a lot more goals.
It was great to get Josh Beveridge and Callum Hogg a start, and they didn’t let themselves down.
I think it’s important we have that pathway there.
Actually, if you look at the age of the starting 11 on Saturday it was a very young team (minus Hoskins!!).
Back to league business today and it will be another tough game. I’m sure Haynesy will have Berwick right up for the match and will be looking for a reaction after their disappointing result last week.
We know by now there are no easy games in this league so we will have to be at your best to get a result.
There’s no denying we need 3 points and to go on a run. Let’s get right behind the boys today.
Cmon the rose
