Match Preview v Dundee FC Premier Sports Cup 22nd July
Our final match of this seasons Premier Sports campaign sees us welcoming Dundee FC to Ferguson Park.
Both sides come into this tie without a point in this competition.
“The Rose” after two tough away games in four days will come into this match looking to continue building towards the start of the League season that starts on Saturday when we entertain Gretna 2008 at Ferguson Park.
Manager Jonny Stewart was delighted with the first half performance against Montrose on Saturday where Bonnyrigg were able to go in at half time a goal up after a Kallum Higginbotham effort from close range.
The second half belonged to the home side who scored a quick fire double at the start of the second half that was then added to with two goals in the final 10 minutes.
Despite the results from our previous games in this competition there is a positive sign that the side is coming together well and will be ready to go when the League campaign starts.
Dundee under new Manager Steven Pressley have also had a tough start in this competition after losing at home to Airdrie and away at Alloa in the past week.
Dundee are a team in transition with a large turnaround of players and will also be looking to build momentum as they also move to the start of the SPL campaign.
