Kian rose through the Motherwell FC academy, making his first-team debut in the Scottish Premiership during the opening game of the 2022–23 season, coming on as a substitute in a 1–0 win over St Mirren.In January 2023, he joined Stenhousemuir on loan in League Two, making ten appearances. Kian signed with the Caledonian Braves in September 2023, where the technically gifted, attack-minded midfielder featured regularly, before joining the Rose in July 2025.
