Next Match we welcome University of Stirling FC to Ferguson Park for game four of our League campaign.
Both sides come into this contest after disappointing starts to the season with Bonnyrigg Rose currently 14th with University of Stirling 18th.
With one win in three league games “The Rose” will be looking to get the season fully started and will be aiming for an improvement from the performance at Central Park last Saturday.
Despite Bonnyrigg fortunately having a half time lead Cowdenbeath were able to take advantage of a poor second half performance scoring twice in a three-minute period just after half time and were able to control the game to seal the 3 points.
University of Stirling FC who finished 13th in this division last season are currently looking for their first League win of this season.
At Forthbank the University side under Manager Chris Geddes were defeated 1-2 to Hearts B with all the goals coming in the second half.
Bonnyrigg Rose have an excellent record in this fixture and are unbeaten in the previous six meetings.
"The Rose defeated Luncarty midweek in the East of Scotland Qualifying Cup 2nd round with a debut goal from Laurie Devine and a first goal from Callum Hogg
The Thoughts of Manager Jonny Stewart -
Hello and welcome back to Ferguson Park for our Lowland League fixture today against Stirling Uni.
There’s no denying that results and performances haven’t been good enough so far and we are doing everything we can to turn that around.
I have every confidence in this that we can go on a good run, starting today.
It won’t be easy though, Stirling Uni are always a fit, well organised side who play good football so we will need to be at our best.
I just want to congratulate Josh Beveridge and Callum Hogg who signed their first professional contracts with the clubs.
Both lads have done well with us pre season and deserve this.
It’s a testament to themselves but also to the youth programme we have here at Bonnyrigg and we hope to see more come through soon.
Brodie Armstrong also made his competitive debut during the week so the chance for progression is there.
Let’s get right behind all the players today, Cmon the Rose!
