“The Rose” have been drawn in Group C where we will face Alloa, Airdrie, Montrose and Dundee over a 10-day period before we start our Lowland League fixtures.

Alloa who finished 5th in League One last season have several experienced players will provide a stiff test and narrowly missed getting through the group stage to the quarter finals last season.

Alloa have had several well-known faces such as Jack Ross, Jim Goodwin and Barry Ferguson in the dugout over the past few seasons are now under Manager Andy Graham

Testament to the work that Manager Jonny Stewart and his team have been doing in the close season to the squad there have been several exciting signings and coupled with Kerr Young and Neil Martyniuk etc signing new contracts we will be looking to get the Season off to a positive start.

The Pre-season results and the performances and preparing the players for the coming season have all been positive and there is a lot to be optimistic about for the coming season.

Hello and welcome back to competitive football.

I must admit it’s strange playing a “home” game away from NDP but I want to say thank you to Whitehill for accommodating us and it won’t be long until we are back home.

I’m sure all of you have been getting up to date with the process and we are all excited to see the final results.

Preseason so far has been good.

We’ve added a lot of new faces and integrated a few young boys as well.

There’s no doubt the Premier Sports games are going to be tough, but I am confident we can give a good account of ourselves and be prepared for the Lowland league starting in 2 weeks.

I hope the fans continue to give us the excellent backing home and away and drive us on to have a successful season.
