Squad Update - A message from Manager Calum Elliot

Firstly, I wanted to say a huge thank you to Greig and Lewis who have returned to their parent clubs.

There professionalism was exemplary and both a pleasure to work with. I wish them both every success with their careers moving forward.

With them both moving on and Dean being sold to Linlithgow, it left the squad extremely thin so I felt it was important to replace them early so we could be ready for what’s going to be a vital 18 games.

This week also saw Kalum moving on from the club, he’s been a great professional and raised standard on and off the park, but Kalum wants to play every minute of every game which after a open conversation we both felt it would be best for him to seek a new challenge.

On the new additions

Lucas is a talented boy and he’s one who will add numbers to our frontline.
He’s done it consistently at Bo’ness and I look forward to giving him the opportunity to play in SPFL

Ryan was one we planned for in the summer but to bring him in now when the opportunity arose as a club we felt it would be a great addition to the team.

He’s a local boy who understands what the club is all about.

He’s a big threat and has great attributes, who will undoubtedly be a big player for us.

Kai is very highly regarded at Hearts and it’s an area we needed to add to as we are very light there.
It’s his first opportunity to play first team football so we will be patient with him but I’m looking forward to working with him. He’s got all the attributes to be a first team regular at hearts.

There was so much competition for Max and I’m delighted he joined the club.

Max we know will be a top player for Bonnyrigg and I feel it’s important to continue his footballing development by playing games of football.

I want him to be an integral part of the squad next season and playing with Bo’ness will get him ready.

Having seen the benefits of Owen going out on loan and playing regularly it made a lot of sense.

He’s a really, talented young player and it’s important to look after him. I look forward to watching him progress in next 4 months.
