Games streamed on Bonnyrigg Rose TV after ST vote

We have balloted our season ticket holders on the options available to us at the present time in respect of streaming home games live. The options were:

  • A.Stream via our YouTube channel free with a suggested virtual ticket price of £5 for non ST holders (ST holders also have option to donate) which would also keep in place our ST guarantee of 16 home lowland league games this season.
  • B. A paywall via a streaming provider so everyone needs to pay £5, which would mean less money coming to the club per payment made (as streaming provider takes an element of that payment) and also open us up to ST refunds.
  • C. No stream at all which again would open us up to refunds.

The overwhelming majority of our season ticket holders voted for Option A. Many of those who voted cited that they wanted to vote for the option that was least detrimental to the club and weren't interested in refunds. Some of our ST holders also mentioned they were happy to pay £5 for the streams in addition to the ST they have already purchased.

We are therefore planning to stream our first home Lowland League game live via our Bonnyrigg Rose TV YouTube channel for a notional price of £5 to non season ticket holders. Please note you need to subscribe to our YouTube channel Bonnyrigg Rose TV to access the live stream.

Ways to buy virtual tickets:

Reference: Stream

We would hope that non season ticket holders/away fans/neutrals choose our "honesty box" solutions above, and would encourage our own fans to support streams of other clubs when we are away from home. While our season ticket numbers increase each year, walk up PATG sales are still the larger number for normal games. We also are aware due to the current climate that money may be tighter than usual, which is why we have "pay what you can" options above. If you aren't in the situation to, then don't, that's ok too.

You will have probably seen the difficulties that a number of clubs have experienced with live streaming games over the past couple of weeks. We would ask that you take this into account as Tuesday is our first proper run at this.

Once again we would like to thank each of our season ticket holders for choosing the right option for the club at the present time.
