Dunfermline Athletic have been on an upwards trend since the appointment of Manager Neil Lennon and are currently in a play-off position in the Championship.

This period has also included a Scottish Cup run that included victories against Premiership clubs Hibernian, Aberdeen and Falkirk on route to the final at the end of last season.

Bonnyrigg Rose have come through the six-match League phase in this competition to reach this final 32 stage.

Dunfermline have been on an excellent run at present and have moved up to 3rd place in the Championship.

“The Rose” come into this tie with a high number of injuries as well as suspensions and will need to be at their very best to get a result in this match.

Manager Jonny Stewart looks forward to this match

Welcome to NDP for tonight’s KDM trophy game against Dunfermline.

I’m sure both sets of fans have turned out in their numbers and it’s a game everyone is looking forward to.

What can I say about the task in front of us?

It was only a few months ago that Dunfermline reached the Scottish Cup final.

They are a top side with a vastly experienced manager who has played and managed at the top level.

Going well again in the league, I’m sure they have aspirations of getting promoted this season.

We know it’s going to be a very difficult night, especially with the boys we are missing, but anything can happen in football.

It’s so important that we stay in the game, frustrate them as much as we can and take our chances when they come along.

The boys have done amazing to get to this stage and we are all looking forward to the game.
