For our first home fixture of the new format Lowland League East, we welcome Brechin City to New Dundas Park.

This is the first of four matches in a two-week period to be played at New Dundas Park.

Brechin City have moved to the Lowland League from the Highland League where they finished 2nd last season mainly due to travel logistics and will provide a stern test for an inform Bonnyrigg Rose side.

Brechin who are Managed by Andy Kirk kicked off their League campaign at East Stirling on Matchday 2 due to their involvement in the League Cup group stage.

Brechin picked up their first point of the season in an exciting 3-3 draw at Ochilview with the home side coming back from a two-goal deficit in the closing 10 minutes to deny Brechin the victory.

Bonnyrigg Rose has made an excellent start to the League campaign with away victories at Musselburgh and Bo`ness and scoring seven goals without reply in the process.

Manager Jonny Stewart will be looking to maintain the momentum and the early season form with a victory in front of the home support.

I’m sure you are all looking forward to returning to NDP again, it seems like a long time ago since we played a competitive game at home.

The boys have started the season well.

2 tough away games, 6 points, 7 goals scores, 0 conceded…they should take confidence from this.

A much better start than last season anyway!!

It is only a start though and I believe we can still get better.

Brechin on Saturday will be a very hard game.

It is obviously their first season in the Lowland League and in my opinion, they will be one of the favourites.

They have a good manager with a good, experienced squad and I expect them to be up there challenging at the end of the season.

However, they won’t enjoy coming to NDP.

Our home record was very good last season and it’s something we want to replicate again.

I’m sure the Rosey posey fans will be looking forward to match and will turn out in their numbers.

The support you gave us last season was absolutely brilliant, and it makes a massive difference.

Hopefully we see as many as you as possible on Saturday.
