A second-half goal from Josh Laing was cancelled out by a last-gasp Camelon equaliser as Bonnyrigg Rose lost on penalties in the East of Scotland Qualifying Cup final on Sunday afternoon.

Marc Anderson made a return to the starting lineup for this fixture, and he made three tremendous saves within the opening 20 minutes to deny Camelon. His first came with a stop to deny Scott Sinclair's effort, followed by a strong low block on Graham Taylor's shot, and finally denying Ben Scarborough from close range.
Cammie Ross found himself in a good position after Anderson's goal-kick found the striker, however the Camelon defence smothered Rose's first good opportunity of the game.
Camelon had the better first half, but in a largely uneventful first 45 it finished 0-0.

Kerr Young almost managed a goal on his return after Lee Currie's corner found the centre-half, but the quick reflexes of Dean Shaw clawed it away to deny an opener.
Marc Anderson was the hero on many occasions in the first half, and he made a super double save again in the second. Liam McQuaid first forced a great stop after bearing through one-on-one with Anderson, and then the Rose keeper got across brilliantly to stop Sinclair's goal-bound header on the rebound.
After a few minutes of sustained pressure, Rose took the lead 75 minutes in through Josh Laing. After a set of Lee Currie deliveries, the ball was eventually worked out to Cammie Ross on the left who swung in a tempting cross. Camelon couldn’t deal with it, and Laing swooped in to hit it high and past Shaw for 1-0.
Right into injury time, late heartbreak hit Rose as Camelon equalised. Anderson did well to save Scarborough's shot which Neil Martyniuk cleared for a corner. From that, the ball fell nicely to David Ferguson and a bullet header for 1-1.
The whistle blew for full-time, meaning it would be a penalty shootout to decide the winners.

Scott Sinclair stepped up and dispatched his penalty for Camelon, however Billy King's following spot-kick rattled the crossbar to put Juniors ahead.
From here, Ben Scarborough, Neil Martyniuk, Liam McQuaid and Cammie Ross each scored to make the tie 3-2 to Camelon.
The tie was sealed after Ross Kavanagh scored for Camelon, however Dean Shaw saved Macky Scott's following penalty, meaning Juniors won the East of Scotland Qualifying Cup 4-2 on penalties.
The season is now over for Bonnyrigg, and they will look to regroup and start the 26/27 season strongly in July's pre-season.
