Second-half goals from Jones, Ross and McGarva saw Rose claim all three points after overcoming a two-goal deficit against Cowdenbeath in Saturday’s Lowland League action.
The game opened up slowly, with Rose’s best chances coming through a series of Lee Currie free kicks that needed Gear to be aware.
Cowdenbeath took the lead in the 24th minute after Rhys Walker picked up the ball along the centre and struck beyond Connelly for 1-0.
The away side mounted the pressure after, and Connelly made a save to deny Mauchin with Somerville being able to clear off the line moments later.
A second goal for the away side came in the 46th minute through Mark Ferrie.
Hope was not lost within the Rose faithful, and in the 50th minute they pulled one back after Alassan Jones found the back of the net with time still to go.
With the game still in the air, Jonny Stewart made three rolls of the dice with substitutes, as Jay McGarva, Rudi Bryce and Max Dowling came on to replace Josh Laing, Kallum Higginbotham and Lee Currie.
Rose’s pressure was unrelenting, and after some subjective refereeing which denied Rose a penalty, Bonnyrigg found themselves level after Alassan Jones’s free kick was turned in by Cammie Ross.
The game started to close, but it was Jay McGarva who gave the final say with a goal within the final moments of the game. The ball broke to substitute in the box, and after taking a touch, he laid an effort high into the side of the goal to set NDP alight and seal the points for Bonnyrigg.
Kian Speirs came on for Alassan Jones in the final minute to see the game out for Rose.
The full-time whistle went on a difficult, but nonetheless satisfying result for Bonnyrigg as they maintain their pursuit of Clydebank at the head of the table. Rose now look ahead to South Challenge Cup action away at St Rochs next Saturday.
