Laurie Devine’s second half strike saw Bonnyrigg earn all three points in an action-packed clash against ten man Cumbernauld Colts.
Cameron Ross had the best of the first half chances, skipping past the Cumbernauld defence only to see his effort fly just over the bar before failing to convert a lovely team move featuring a sublime rabona over the top from Josh Laing.
Following a strong opening to the second half by Bonnyrigg, a period in which they struck the woodwork three times, Cumbernauld forward Abraham Osemake was sent off for dissent, receiving two yellow cards in quick succession.
With twenty minutes to play, Callum Connolly picked out Laurie Devine’s run over the top of the Cumbernauld defense, who coolly slotted home.
Substitute Alassan Jones came close to doubling the advantage late on but his powerful drive hit the side netting.
The Rose are back in action on Friday, where they travel to face East Stirlingshire.
