Bonnyrigg Rose started the League campaign with a 1-2 defeat against Gretna FC 2008 at Ferguson Park.

In a disappointing performance "The Rose" lost a goal midway through the first half when Anderson tapped in from close range.

Despite having a lot of possession we were unable to threaten the Gretna goal and the away side scored a second fifteen minutes from the end.

Bonnyrigg scored a consolation goal ten minutes from time when substitute Alassan Jones scored from a free kick on his debut.

Not the start we wanted but it is a quick turnaround as we travel to Netherdale to face Gala Fairydean Rovers on Wednesday night with a 7.45pm kick off.
