Jonny Stewart made two changes from his first game in charge of the Rose, bringing in Mark Ferrie and Kieran Somerville in for an injured Bradley Barrett and Callum Connolly.
The game started fast for both sides, with Mark Ferrie trying his luck from distance right after kick-off.
Shortly after, Murray Aiken came close with a curled effort that went over Jay Kennedy in the Clyde goal.
Clyde had their first chance in the 6th minute when Martin Rennie tested Andy McNeil from distance.
Two minutes later, Taylor Sutherland skipped past the Rose defence but dragged his shot wide.
In the 14th minute, Martin Rennie bundled the ball into the Rose net, giving the home side an early lead.
As the first half progressed, chances became less frequent, though Broque Watson nearly scored just before halftime, forcing an excellent save from Jay Kennedy at his near post.
The second half maintained a high tempo, with both teams looking to create chances.
The first opportunity came in the 50th minute when Kerr Young’s header was claimed.
In the 55th minute, Andy McNeil produced an acrobatic save to deny Martin Rennie’s free kick.
Six minutes later, Murray Aiken fired just wide from distance.
A minute later, Rose were given a lifeline when Angus Mailer was brought down in the Clyde penalty area. Neil Martyniuk converted the penalty, leveling the game with less than half an hour to go.
Scott Williamson made the difference, restoring Clyde’s lead in the 74th minute.
Andy McNeil was called into action again, denying Tommy Robson’s powerful volley.
Darren Hynes sealed the win for the Bully Wee with a stoppage-time goal, securing all three points.
Rose now turn their attention to league action, facing Stranraer at Stair Park next Saturday.
