Rose Lose Out in Seven-Goal Thriller at NDP
Bonnyrigg Rose returned to New Dundas Park following Tuesday’s defeat away to Elgin.
Manager Calum Elliot made one change to the starting line-up, with Mikey Andrews replacing the injured Paddy Martin in goal.
Rose took an early lead in the 14th minute when Mark Ferrie capitalized on the first chance of the afternoon.
Peterhead responded with three quick goals—Colloty equalized in the 17th minute, Shanks put the visitors ahead in the 24th, and Barry extended their lead in the 26th.
Just before halftime, Cammy Ross pulled one back for Rose.
Early in the second half, Lee Currie levelled the score with a powerful free-kick from the edge of the box.
The remainder of the match saw both sides battling for possession and momentum.
Ultimately, Peterhead had the final say, with Smith securing all three points for the Blue Toon in the 88th minute.
Rose now turn their attention to next Saturday’s away fixture against East Fife at Bayview Stadium.
