We welcome Peterhead to NDP for this vital Cinch League 2 match as we enter the final 5 league games this season. Every point is crucial.

This will be the first home match for our new Management team, Calum Elliot and Kevin Smith. Calum, when asked about his thoughts on the game, said “I would first like to thank everyone connected with the club for the warm welcome they have given both Kev and myself since joining the club. We are fully aware of the job we have walked into and one which we will embrace as well as look to build on the amazing job Robbie has done. 5 big games coming up starts today. Peterhead are a very good side and will need to be at our best. A loud crowd driving the team on would be magic and help the team on the huge challenge which is in front of us as the season comes to a close.”

This is the first of 4 consecutive games against sides that are in the top half of the league table.

The Rose come into this game after the trip to Stranraer where we drew 1-1. The Rose, after an even first half, dominated the second half with more chances and possession than the home side. The Rose went ahead after 77 minutes through a Neil Martyniuk penalty after a foul on Angus Mailer, but the home side equalised with a few minutes to go, leaving both clubs 3 points above bottom of the table Clyde.

Peterhead come into this game after a 4-1 win at home to Clyde. Peterhead scored two first half penalties and dominated the match with a further two second half goals to remain 2nd in the League table.

The last match between the sides (20/02/24) ended in a 0-0 draw. The match was played on a cold Tuesday night in Peterhead, in game of few chances, the draw was a fair result.

Last time out at NDP between the sides (09/12/23) it ended in a 1-1 draw. The Rose took the lead mid-way through the first half through a Kerr Young header but were pegged back on the hour mark from a Peterhead free kick.

Lets all get behind the team this weekend. C’Mon the Rose, Lets Go!
