Bonnyrigg Rose are back on the road again in the final cinch League 2 game before Christmas as they make the trip to Methil to take on East Fife almost a month after their previous meeting.

In the previous meeting under the floodlights at New Dundas Park, Rose ran out 4-2 winners. Smart Osadolor put the Rose ahead before Nathan Austin latched upon a defensive lapse in judgement to bring the Fifers level before the break.

An incredible Lee Currie free-kick alongside a trademark Neil Martyniuk penalty had Rose 3-1 up in the second-half before Conor McManus weaved his way through the Rose defence to bring East Fife within touching distance, setting up for a nervy final 20 minutes at New Dundas Park.

Rose would eventually grab all 3 points with another Martyniuk penalty making the points safe.

Since the last time the two sides faced off, fortunes have been mixed.

Bonnyrigg Rose haven't seen a league victory since that win under the lights against the Fifers as they have faced off against two of the division's best sides, narrowly losing out in a trip to Stenhousemuir in a game which saw two red cards as well as holding second-placed Peterhead to a draw at NDP.

The previous fixture did see a heavy defeat at Stranraer as they came up short when making the long trip south to Stair Park.

East Fife played against first-place Stenhousemuir as well as rock-bottom Elgin City in their last two league fixtures, demolishing the Highland side 4-0 in Methil but just coming up short against the Warriors at Ochilview last week.

If Bonnyrigg Rose are to take all 3 points tomorrow evening, keeping Nathan Austin quiet will be high up on the agenda, with the former Inverness CT forward having 6 goals this season, the Fifers' top scorer.

There are no cash turnstiles at Bayview and supporters are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets online, with tickets available to purchase here
