The second of four consecutive road trips this weekend as Rose travel to the Rock to face Dumbarton. The Sons currently sit in second position in the league table, with Rose three places and two points further behind having played one game less.
The two sides have met each other twice already this season and on both occasions the honours remained even after 90 minutes. After playing out a scoreless draw in the Viaplay Cup group stages it was Dumbarton who picked up the bonus point on offer at home after spot kicks and in the league season opener a deflected opener by Blair early in the first half for the Sons was cancelled out by a Mahady strike late in the second.

Both sides eventually persevered in their respective Scottish Cup ties last weekend. Rose needed an additional 30 minutes to see off Fraserburgh at Bellslea while two injury time goals was enough to see Dumbarton through in 90 minutes vs Banks o Dee.
Dumbarton have made a solid start to their second season back in League 2 with Summer signings Tony Wallace and Michael Ruth becoming regular features in the goalscoring statistics. The home side will be looking to go one better than last season when they finished in second position behind Stirling Albion, before being defeated in the play-off semi-finals by Annan Athletic. Last time out in the league they fell to a 2-0 at Ainslie Park at the home of the SPFL newcomers Spartans.

Robbie Horn’s men will take a lot of heart from the result last week at the Broch considering the conditions, the quality of the side that they faced and the personnel unavailable due to various reasons – a number of those are expected to make a return to the squad for this weekend’s match. Rose have yet to get the better of Dumbarton in league encounters and will be looking to correct that record at the Dumbarton Football Stadium this weekend, with the unwavering backing of the faithful behind them.

Admission for the match is £17 adults, £11 concessions (over 65s and students with valid ID) and £5 U16s. Tickets can be bought here in advance with PATG also available. Rose supporters should enter through turnstiles 1 and 2 and bar 1872 will be open for both sets of supporters from 13:30.
