A Kieran Mitchell strike helped lift Rose off the foot of the table as the season enters its final stage.
Bonnyrigg travelled to Clifftonhill to face a Rovers side who had got the better of Rose on the three previous encounters this season. Rose made two changes to the starting line up, with McGachie making his first start since his return for injury and a first start for loan signing Andy Rodden.
Rovers were out of the blocks quicker keeping the ball nicely but not really phasing the Bonnyrigg back line. However the first strike on target came via Mitchell on 9 minutes but was comfortably held by Leighfield in the Rovers' goal.
Rose progressed into the game as the half went on, chances fell for both teams but none bothering the respective goalies.
Bonnyrigg starting the second half brighter and after 62 minutes Kieran Mitchell broke the deadlock after he cooly slotted away a Kerr Young header across goal.
It was a nervy final period for Rose fans as Albion piled on the pressure but the Rosey Posey back line defended for their lives and after 96 minutes their hard work finally rewarded when the ref blew the final whistle, much to the Rose faithful delight.
A huge three points at Coatbridge which saw Rose swap places with Rovers at the bottom of cinch League 2, and everyone connected with the club will hope that the positive momentum continues back on home soil next week in front of a big home crowd as we host Stranraer.
