Well, what can be said here that is't already known?

Over 2000 of you packed yourselves into New Dundas Park last Saturday for our final home game in this historic season. The show which unfolded is the latest addition to the unbelievable reel from this campaign. And there has been some competition.

You all know what's at stake as you take a little glance at this preview. A match, in all honesty, that requires no introduction. History beckons.

It is only half time. Part two is drawing ever closer. So to get you in the mood - if you aren't already - let's refresh the going on's of last Saturday first leg tie against Cowdenbeath.

You'd be forgiven for failure to recall the opening 30 minutes. A cagey affair, so it was.

However, the remaining 15 minutes of the half were nothing short of spectacular. Harvey Swann was given his marching orders after receiving his second yellow card within a quarter-of-an-hour of each other.

Spurred on by the man advantage, Rose capitalised. Sean Brown tussled at the back post with Scott Dunn as Bradley Barrett's delightful chip headed in their direction. With the deftest of touches, despite 'keeper Cammy Gill's best efforts, the ball did trickle over the line before it was swept away. An intake of breath which was inhaled around the ground before Grant Irvine signalled for a goal, was swiftly replaced by screams of jubilation.

One promptly became two when Rose were awarded a penalty. As he has done so since taking on the responsibility, Neil Martyniuk dispatched confidently from 12-yards to end the half on a high.

If you believe in that kinda stuff, you'd say it was 'written in the stars' for Dean Brett to net against his old side. His performance certainly merited a goal, and when he was found lurking at the back, he was destined to get on the scoresheet.

Quite the game to close the curtain at the Boomtown Bernabeu for the campaign. A three goal cushion ain't so bad either.

But, as has been reiterated throughout this week, the job is by no means done. A mammoth task awaits, but the rewards are even greater.

Five supporter's buses are already filled for Saturday - an incredible support backing the boys again.
