Bonnyrigg are looking to bounce back from their first defeat of the season at the weekend, as they host Civil Service Strollers at New Dundas Park on Tuesday evening.

Robbie Horn’s side fell victim to East Stirlingshire on Saturday afternoon. Dean Brett’s first goal of the season wasn’t enough for the Rose to return home with anything from Falkirk.

It is the third game in a row that the Rose have dropped points, including in their last home match against Cumbernauld Colts.

The visitors had a free week this weekend, so haven’t been in action since defeating University of Stirling, who Rose drew with, a week past Saturday, for their first win of the campaign. Alieu Faye grabbed the solo goal, his second of the campaign after also netting against Kelty Hearts.

Gary Jardine’s side have struggled on the road and picked up their only point away from home just three days prior to that win, away to newcomers Bo’ness United.

When the sides last met in March, neither would’ve thought that, that would be their last game of the season. Johnny Brown salvaged a point for the Rose that afternoon after Craig Newall opened the scoring for Strollers.

Again, neither side were able to find a winner in their first meeting last season. Kerr Young equalised with two minutes to go after, now Rose player, Andy Mair, fired the Strollers ahead.
