Bonnyrigg ended the league campaign with a trip to Carmuirs. Despite the rain there was a decent visiting support that made the trip. It was the home side that started brightest where a corner on 12 minutes evaded everyone. Weir in the Bonnyrigg goal pushed a strike around his post three minutes later. However from the resulting corner the Rose defence failed to clear and Allison popped up to strike home and Camelon were ahead.
On 24 minutes the ground were stunned into silence as Roseburgh went to ground in severe pain after an innocuous challenge and it took some time to ensure he could leave the ground safely. Thankfully, after been taken to hospital he was diagnosed with a dislocated knee and was able to go home later that day. McKenna came on as a substitute after an eight minute delay.
The delay allowed Bonnyrigg to regroup and only a couple of minutes into the restart they were level. McLeish crossed from the left and teenager Dean Whitson split the defence and made no mistake with his header.
Five minutes into injury time in the first half and Bonnyrigg took the lead. McKenna took the ball on the right and passed to King, who played a through ball into Renton who shot across Barnard, avoiding his outstretched right hand and nestled in the net.
Camelon started the second half the brighter and nearly equalised on 55 minutes. Allison did everything right and dinked the ball over the onrushing Weir, only for White to race back and clear before the ball reached the goal-line.
Camelon did level proceedings on 65 minutes where a good passing movement ended with a Ferguson goal.
Bonnyrigg weren't to be outdone and after some good football in the middle of the park the ball was played out to McLeish on the left, whose cross was met by the head of Whitson whose looping header sent the visiting support into raptures.
Bonnyrigg made a final substitution with Manson on for King a minute later and the defence were made to work hard for the remainder of the game, with Camelon's energetic attacks belying the amount of games they have played recently.
The Rose held out for the victory which meant the New Dundas Park side went the whole season unbeaten on the road in the league, which will be one of many positives the side can take forward into next season.
