The group stage will see us face Inverness CT and Airdrie for the first time in a competitive fixture, whilst we will take on SPFL Premiership side Dundee for the first time since we were narrowly beaten by them in the dying embers of extra time in the 2020/21 Scottish Cup 2nd round at Dens Park. Dumbarton of course will need no introduction having experienced cup success over them in 2016 and having faced them as recently as last season in cinch League Two.
