Pitch Fund Weekly Update

Michelle Reid24 Feb - 20:40

This has been a week of fun, winners and achievement of another fundraising milestone. Lets take a look at what’s been happening and coming up!

We now have over £80k! Thank you to everyone who has and continues to help us keep professional football in Midlothian.

Our next milestone is £100k, can you pitch in and help us to get there? You can contribute in multiple ways including making a donation or getting involved in some of our brilliant fundraising activities. Check out the Bonnyrigg Rose Pitch Fund dedicated website for details of how you can “Pitch In”.

Let’s take a look at what’s been happening and what’s coming up …………….

We are another week closer to our Rose Glitz and Goals Gala Dinner! We cannot wait for this! Tables are selling well with only three tables of 8 and 4 individual seats left to go. Don’t miss out on your chance to join us.

Taking place on 15th March at the Kings Acre Golf Course Clubhouse, this will be a glamourous evening of fun and fundraising all in the name of our cause. Hosted by Mark Martin with live music, entertainment, an auction and much, much more. You can also play our giant spot the ball game with a chance of winning dinner, bed and breakfast at the newly refurbished Dalhousie Castle. This is one not to be missed! Last chance to avoid disappointment. Book your tickets here – uk.Emma-live.com/bonnyriggrosepitchfund

A massive thank you to The Anvil Inn who held their Country Night with Vicki B and DJ Paul on 21st February. Over 100 people donned their boots and lots of fun was had all round. Thanks to everyone who helped raise over £1600 all of which has been donated to the pitch fund.

We have another winner in our football ticket raffle! Well done to David Wilson who will be enjoying Hearts v St Mirren on Wednesday night at Tynecastle in hospitality! If you missed out on this one fear not, we have two tickets for Sunday’s sold out Edinburgh derby to be won as well as two hospitality tickets to Hibs v St Johnstone on 29th March too! To be in with a chance of winning, enter the Rose Raffle, £10 per ticket. Full details and entry tickets can be found here – Rose Raffle. Thanks to our friends at Hearts & Hibs for pitching in.

Luci’s Restaurant & Cocktail Bar are still selling the very popular Rose Cocktail, they are also hosting their Rose BooZe Brunch taking place on Sunday 9th March. Tickets are selling fast with limited numbers left, these can be purchased from the Luci’s team directly. If you wear something red you can enjoy a free Rose Cocktail! Don’t miss your chance to join in!

Our friends from the The 1881 Club held their Pie and Pint event before the home game against Forfar on 22nd February. They had a great turnout with everyone enjoying their pie and a pint and taking part in the raffle with some great prizes won. They raised £700 for the pitch fund. Thanks for pitching in!

The Royal Oak continues to pitch in. If you are out and about in Bonnyrigg over the next few weeks, please drop in and buy a raffle ticket at the bar. This will give you the chance to win a Keg of Your Choice! All proceeds are being donated to the pitch fund.

A big thank you to the Laird & Dog for Pitching In too. Time is running out to purchase raffle tickets at the bar with a chance of winning some great prizes. The raffle closes on 28th February, with all proceeds being donated to our Pitch fund. Don’t miss your chance to win!

This love really can last forever…
Thank you to John Durie of JWD Accounting and Tax Services who bought a lifetime season ticket this week.

A lifetime season ticket is a great way to support the club and it also represents fantastic value. Just think how many goals, moments and wins you will never pay for again. If you are, shall we say, ‘a little bit more mature’ and are interested then please get in touch as we have some options around multi-year season tickets and transferability. Contact us to learn more.

NDP Heroes
We have always been a community club and in our hour of need the community has been answering the call and we can’t be more proud of our NDP Heroes.

There is still time to sponsor Marie Arthur (Bonnyrigg Rose Chair) https://shorturl.at/pIONf and Brendan Parkinson as they take on a half marathon each https://shorturl.at/arM7X and Graham Clark and the lads attempting 42 grounds in 42 hours thank you all!

A massive thank you to our amazing Bonnyrigg Rose Supporters Club for pitching in through gifting donations and fundraising prize competitions such as Christmas Football Cards and the Last Man Standing competition. Thank you so much for helping to make a difference.

We ask, where you can, to support these pitch fund heroes and if you can take on a challenge of your own! Whether it be bashing out a marathon or baking a cake, pull on your cape or apron and let us know how you’re becoming a pitch funding hero. Tell us your pitching in stories here!

Finally a big thank you to all who have pitched in with very generous donations in support of the pitch fund. Our wall of fame now proudly includes P&DSC Decorators Ltd, Julie MacDonald, Bumper to Bumper Garage, Scotia Security & Events, PPE Industrial Supplies Ltd, K.C Kitchens, Napier Accountancy, Taskforce, MB Builders, Elliot Construction, Craig Ogilvie Roofing and our Bonnyrigg Rose under 10 and under 12 girls, to name but a few. You can check out everyone on The Wall Of Fame Here.

Thank you! C’Mon the Rose
