Its been a busy week this week for the Pitch Fund with the efforts and generosity of the local community pushing the total to over £70k! We are so thankful to everyone who has helped make this happen by contributing their time and money. There is still much to do and you can 'Pitch In' in multiple ways including making a donation or getting involved in some of our brilliant fundraising activities. We’ve been making headlines this week when Hugh MacDonald’s latest “On The Road” venture brought him to NDP where he caught up with a few familiar faces, raising awareness of our campaign. You can read the article in the Daily Mail here.

COPA90 and @euanlowniefilm also showcased our story on Instagram with their 1.3 million followers. You can read it here.

We would also like to thank many of our supporters and volunteers who have been fundraising in their own ways, here are just a few examples of the efforts happening in our community. Thank you everyone for “Pitching In”:

  • Graham Clark and a few other local Groundhoppers have set themselves the challenge of visiting all 42 SPFL club grounds in 42 hours in order to raise funds for the cause. Graham has already raffled off 2 signed Rangers strips and donated all proceeds to the Pitch Fund.
  • Our very own Marie Arthur is running her very first half marathon to raise funds for the cause.
  • Previous Treasurer and life long friend of the club, Brendan Parkinson is running the Strathclyde Half Marathon on 4th May.
  • The 1881 Club held a Pie & Pint event before the Clyde game last weekend and raised £470. Thank you all!
  • Bonnyrigg Rose Girls completed their 900km December Challenge and raised over £2k for the Pitch Fund. Well Done Team!

Thank you everyone. C’Mon the Rose!
