A second-half masterclass saw Rose secure all 3 points on Friday evening

Rose wre on the road for the second week in a row, facing off against East Fife at the MGM Timber Bayview Stadium in cinch League Two. Leading up to this, Rose had previously beaten the Fifers at New Dundas Park back in late November. After the 3-1 defeat to Stranraer last week, Robbie Horn made 3 changes, adding the physical presences of Keiran McGachie and Kerr Young into the side, and the pace of Bradley Barrett, which, from the beginning of the game, set the tone for Rose. Rose came out of the gates hot, pressing with hunger and intent, creating promising chances with Conor Doan testing the Fife goal on a couple of occasions but unable to find the back of the ent.

East Fife would have chances in the first half, with Brian Easton coming close as he got on the end of a well-worked Fife corner, just going wide of Paddy Martin’s goal. After great spells of possession in the first half, Rose would eventually get their goal through Bradley Barrett, closing what would be a promising first half for Bonnyrigg Rose after he fired home on the half-turn from the edge of the box.

Kerr Young would extend Rose’s lead early in the first half after a fantastic long-ranged shot cannoned off the crossbar and into the top right corner of Allan Fleming's goal.

Bradley Barrett would win Rose a penalty minutes later, with Neil Martyniuk converting for his 8th goal in cinch League Two and his 3rd goal against the Fifers this season, all coming from the spot.

East Fife would create chances late in the second half, with Brogan Walls' effort from range floating over the bar.

Taylor Sutherland, off the bench for Rose, would hit the post in the 85th minute, denying another Rose goal.
