A late Stranraer goal ensured the points were shared at a windy NDP

Bonnyrigg Rose returned to New Dundas Park following a very successful away to trip to New Douglas Park last weekend. Goals in either half from Jason Jarvis and Bradley Barrett secured a 2-0 win for the Rose against Clyde.

Robbie Horn was forced to make one change to that side as Ross Gray was forced off with an injury early on in the first half. Jason Jarvis also missed out through an injury suffered in training.

It was a chaotic opening 10 minutes at a windy NDP as Dean Watson found himself in behind the offside trap just seconds into the game. His initial effort was saved by Michael McDonald and Conor Doan scrambled onto the rebound but his strike was well blocked.

Watson was causing trouble again moments later however his shot sailed over the bar.

Stranraer defender Sean McDonald showed some good play as he nipped past the Rose defenders but saw his thunderous effort crack Paddy Martin's crossbar.

The game seemed to have calmed down with the wind preventing any real attacks from getting going, however, on the half-hour mark after some neat link-up play between Neil Martyniuk and Watson, Reis Peggie was clipped in the box and the referee pointed to the spot.

After being heavily involved in the build-up, it was Neil Martyniuk who stepped up and calmly slotted the ball past McDonald to put the Rose in front.

The game had very little going on from then on until the hour-mark when Keiran McGachie and Luke Mahady came on for Smart Osadolor and Watson.

McGachie immediately made his presence known as he down well to pinch the ball from the Stranraer defender and poke the ball through perfectly for Robbie McGale who opted for the shot which stung the palms of McDonald.

Rose had a chance to potentially kill the game off when Mahady latched onto the ball ahead of the onrushing McDonald, but a heavy touch meant any chance on capitalising on the lapse of judgement from the Stranraer was slim.

With 5 minutes to play the Blues snatched a late equaliser as Rose failed to get rid of a set-piece and Stranraer substitute Deryn Lang lashed it home from close-range.

The points were shared in the end at New Dundas Park and Bonnyrigg Rose remain unbeaten in the League this season. Rose will look to maintain that record when they travel to Stair Park to take on Forfar Athletic next Saturday.
