Biography

Alan is Bonnyrigg Rose’s longest serving player and has reached 315 appearances for the club coming into the 2022/23 SPFL League Two season.

Brought in by then-manager Max Christie, ‘The Tranent Pele’ had a truly outstanding first season at NDP, picking up both the Players’ Player and Supporters’ Player of the Year awards. He has since also won the Supporters’ and Social Media POTY awards in 2018 and 2020, respectively.

The team’s Mr Consistent, Al can play across the midfield and defence. He spent almost the entirety of Rose’s 2021/22 title winning and promotion earning campaign at the back, with plenty of plaudits for his composure and class deservedly coming his way throughout. While described as many things, being a Rolls-Royce defender and Rose legend perhaps fit best.

Alan is sponsored by John Forbes (home), Bonnyrigg Rose Supporters Club (away) and David Henderson Art (third).
