Match day 6 for the Rose & they travel to Cumbernauld for some Friday night football (for only the second time ever) to face the Colts (for the first time ever). Our hosts are in their fifth season as a Lowland League outfit and have been consistent top 6 performers in that time. The newly relaid surface at Broadwood appears to be doing the trick so far, as they they are 2 from 2 at their home ground so far this season, beating last year's 2nd and 3rd place finishers in BSC Glasgow and Kelty Hearts respectively and like ourselves are unbeaten so far.
There won't be too many familiar names among the Colts squad that Rose supporters will be familiar with but one that should be is Marty Wright, who moved from Bo'ness Utd in the close season and the front man has scored 5 of their 11 goals so far this season.
Last Saturday's victory over Dalbeattie Star saw Bonnyrigg maintain their own 100% home record and they will be looking to continue the form shown so far this season into this fixture. On the playing front all of the squad are available for selection apart from Louis Swanson so that particular selection headache can fall to the manager.
First plays second at Broadwood and it promises to be a cracker. Admission is £6/£3 and the Aria Lounge will be open at Broadwood to supporters from both sides from 18:00.
