We are pleased to announce the signing of striker Aaron Laidlaw, midfielder Robbie Neave and defender/midfielder Nicky Weir on 18 month contracts from the U20s side. All three have been rewarded for their efforts and impact that they have made with the 20s in their debut season in the Lowland Development League and they have all made appearances for the senior side.
As Nicky is in his final year of eligibility for the Under 20s side we will be finalising a deal shortly to put him out on loan for the rest of this season and he will return to the senior squad for pre season training. Aaron and Robbie will continue to appear for the under 20s side, starting on Sunday with their huge Scottish Youth Cup quarter final match vs Kilmarnock.
Thanks go to Tam Yuill and his coaching team for their ongoing development of all of the 20s side this season and for looking at the bigger picture in respect of the future of the three players we've signed. We fully expect other players to follow suit and come through the development side in the future.
