Some words from the new manager on his appointment.

I’m absolutely delighted to be back at the club after building up such a strong affiliation in my last spell with players, supporters, Charlie, Brendan, Bob and the rest of the committee.
After my stint at Berwick I felt I needed a break to evaluate what I wanted to do going forward and I greatly appreciated the support I got from family, friends, supporters and people who you would least expect it from.
I’m grateful to the club for giving me time and space to consider my future. Ultimately football is in the blood and when it wasn’t there I felt a bit lost without it and certainly not ready to pack it in.
The club is on a journey which started when we won the Super League in my first season, followed by the memorable Scottish Cup run and then the superb job that Big Whitey did last season and the success the club had. The aim is to get ourselves in the Lowland League as quick we can and hopefully in time to the Senior leagues which would an unbelievable achievement and great for the growing community of Bonnyrigg.
I’m really looking forward to the challenge and excited about working again with a group of players I have huge respect and admiration for and also the new ones that are now at the club.
It goes without saying it’s great to be back working with Dave and we have become good friends over the last few years. I am also looking forward to linking up with Sean and Danielle again and getting the chance to work with Budgie who’s made a great impression on everyone at the club.
The club is in a good place and there’s not much that needs to be changed but hopefully I can offer leadership and guidance and we can get to where we want to be come the end of the season.
Al the best
Robbie
