Latest thoughts from the manager.

Last week was pretty busy for me so I apologise for not getting round to my weekly blog It was disappointing that our League game was off last week at Fauldhouse but there is not much we can do about the weather and it's another game we now have to catch up on.

It leaves us with a very difficult task in the League with 7 games to catch up on and now being 26 points behind. Kelty still look very strong and continue to spend more money and add to their already top quality squad. All we can do is keep winning games ourselves and see where it takes us. We certainly haven't given up the ghost and we are more than capable of going on a run of winning games. It's the amount of game we may have to play in the run in that might be more the problem.

Looking back to our last game against Kilsyth in the Scottish and I have to say it was the best we have played for some time. There was a hunger and edge about us again and we were at it from the first whistle. The game should have been over at half time but we didn't take our chances but in the end it was a comfortable win against a good side. Before the game I came out fighting with some of the comments I made about people being too quick to shoot us down. I asked the players to do the same and they did just that and answered a few critics at the same time.

We now need to take the same levels of intensity into our Scottish Cup game away to Petershill tomorrow. It's a massive game for us and Petershill will be right up for it in one of the many battles of East versus West on the day. Our game being off last week gave me the opportunity to go through and have a look at Petershill through at St Roch's. The pitch made it really difficult for both teams so it was very difficult to judge but St Roch's played really second half and deserved to win. Petershill were missing a number of players so we will just have to wait and see who they have back available tomorrow. I enjoyed the day though and the banter with the St Roch's fans.

One thing for sure is we are going to have to go and earn it tomorrow, they are a good side and are not just going to roll over and make it easy for us. We are going to have battle and scratch for every ball and earn the right to play. A new Astro-turf surface has been laid and it looks magnificent so I'm hopeful that will suit us.

We have a couple of guys struggling with injury at the moment. Kelby Mason has also returned to Hearts after fracturing a vertebrae in his back and we are all gutted for him and hope he makes a speedy recovery. Sean Brennan has joined us loan from Berwick for the rest of the season and will provide excellent competition for the number 1 jersey.

All the best!

Robbie
