Thoughts from the manager on the past seven days.

Sorry for the late blog this week but it's been a pretty busy week on all fronts.

Firstly it was very disappointing result and performance last week especially first half. We weren't at it from the first whistle while Dundonald were and while we could make excuses about the pitch, things going against like the own goal and penalty miss, the simple fact was they wanted it more than us and deserved to win.

I've not said that much over the time I've been at the club which is credit to the players but they know Saturday wasn't good enough. We've got to deal alot better with the fact we are now a huge scalp and everyone is desperate to put one over on us due to what we've achieved. We've got to stand up to the challenges put infront of us and show why we have achieved what we have.

It has been difficult though and there has been so much going at the club the last few weeks that it is difficult to focus on the next game as everyone wants to talk to you, interview you are ask you for tickets for the game against Hibs!!! I kind have accepted now it is what it is and asking players to think just about the next game is just about impossible, I gave up when the boys were asked to do a photo shoot for the press next week, you'll see what I mean when it comes out so I won't spoil the surprise, We've just got enjoy it all as a club, it's our moment in the sun and something we will all remember for a long time.

We face a local derby tomorrow against Newtongrange who in my opinion are better than their current position suggests and there is no doubt they will be right up for the game and desperate for the three points. I'm looking for a big reaction from the performance last week and a win to take into the game the following week. We have got a couple of players struggling with injuries at the moment but the strength of the squad is good enough to deal with this.

Apologies to Alex King who I forgot to mention last week. The wee man had a contract until the end of the December which has obviously expired and he is now a free agent. It looks like he requires an op on his long standing knee problem which he has been trying to play through since coming on against Broughty in August. I'm gutted for Kingy and disappointed that things didn't work out for him on his return and wish him all the best.

That leaves us a body down and I am actively trying to freshen up the squad but it isn't proving easy for a variety of reasons. We'll keep trying though.

All the best!

Robbie
