Against Penicuik I thought we looked solid at the back, won the midfield battle and looked a threat upfront too. The subs that came on also made an impact too which is great and exactly what you are looking for as a manager. It was great for Kieran to get his first competitive goal too, a tap in it might have been but I think he's deserved that for the hard work and performances he's been putting in, its a monkey off his back too. Also a mention for Paul Grant who had to be chucked in at the last moment with Baldy pulling out with an injury. Bobo didn't have a lot to do but what he did do he looked confident with.

Kelty on Saturday was just mental! The goals we gave away were criminal and from a comfortable position at 4-2 we threw the game away. We should have killed it off when Lewis tried to square it to Kieran, 5-2 and the game is done but credit to Kelty who showed great character fighting back with 10 men. I heard someone shouting after the game "that's why we are champions" and they are spot on, Kelty are a good side with a great spirit and you don't win leagues without that.

For me we didn't do well enough with the ball second half, we should have kept it better and made them work, instead we gave it away cheaply and as I've said already the goals were terrible. On the positive side, we have now played some of the top sides in the league and yes they are decent sides but there is nothing to fear. Once we get everyone fit and available we are more than a match for any team. Everyone else in the league is probably thinking the same thing though and it doesn't look like there is any easy games looking at results and the league table. We need to get a bit consistency and string a run of results together which will be getting stressed to the players this week.

We have a bounce game on Tuesday where boys who are needing game time will play plus maybe a trialist or two then it's on to Camelon on Saturday, which will be another tough fixture for us. A couple of bodies missing this week with Fraser and Scott away and the game will also probably come too quick for Wayne and Al Horne who's making a good recovery from his fractured cheekbone.
