Cup winning manager remembered on home strips.

We have added the Rose's first Junior Cup winning manager Billy Durie's name to our home strips as per the accompanying picture which will be on display for the first time on Saturday for our William Hill Scottish Cup 1st round tie away to Turriff Utd.

Billy, who enjoyed a long playing career with Thorntree & Newtongrange Star will be best remembered as the manager of Bonnyrigg's first successful Junior Cup winning side of 1966. He was also a coach and physio at the club during his long association with the Rose before becoming an ever present as a supporter, both home and away until his untimely departure last week.

The club would like to express our deepest condolences to his wife of 63 years Janet, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all his friends and family at this time.
