A second away trip in four day takes the Rose to Christie Gillies Park as Robbie Horn’s side take on Civil Service Strollers on Saturday afternoon.

It has been a solid start the season for Bonnyrigg so far, with an opening day win at home to Celtic B followed up by a goalless draw with a resolute Cumbernauld Colts side at Broadwood.

Strollers bounced back from a 1-0 loss at Dalbeattie Star on matchday 1 to pick up their first three points of the season this past midweek, with a penalty from Alieu Faye and a pair of set piece goals from Lewis Duffy enough to overcome Edinburgh Uni in a 3-2 thriller.

Much like our midweek opponents, Rose were unable to travel to Strollers due to the stop-start nature of last season’s Lowland League campaign. Their one meeting at New Dundas Park provided a confidence boosting win for the hosts, having dropped points in their previous three league outings, courtesy of a goal apiece from striker partners George Hunter and Keiran McGachie.

The last trip to Marine Drive came back in August 2019, when an 89th minute Kerr Young equaliser cancelled out an opener from Andy Mair, who joined the Rose from Gary Jardine’s side in the summer of 2020.

Kick off in the capital is at 3pm on Saturday afternoon with tickets available to purchase at the price of £7 (U14s free with a paying adult) via the Fanbase app. A cash gate will also be in operation at Christie Gillies Park.
