Our fourth game since last Saturday sees us take the short trip to Peebles, where we face the Rovers in the last eight of the Football Nation Qualifying Cup. This is the first competitive outing between the two sides, although the clubs have competed against each other in the late 60s/early 70s following a brief sejour in the Juniors for the Borders side.
Peebles have finished in 11th place with their Conference A campaign complete and know they will be playing conference football next season. What they aren't sure of yet is who will be in the dugout, as Allan McDonald steps down from his position as manager at the end of this season.
They have achieved some notable results over the course of the season, not least in doing the double over fellow Midlothian side Easthouses Lily MW and will be keen to progress in a cup they have yet to win and ensure their season extends for a little bit longer.
Wednesday marked progress in a different cup for Bonnyrigg, with a good second half performance ensuring progression to the last eight of the King Cup. The good news for the manager is that players are slowly starting to return from knocks at a crucial time of the season. Every game is seen as a potential victory and a strong side is expected to turn out tomorrow, with places up for grabs in the play offs starting eleven which begin for Rose on Wednesday.
The winners of this tie will play the Mariners of Camelon at Carmiurs on Thursday 9th May.
