This weekend sees another venture into new surroundings and playing a side which we haven't played a competitive fixture against previously, with a visit to Alloa Athletic's Indodrill Stadium to face BSC Glasgow in the SFA South Challenge Cup fourth round.
BSC are a well established Lowland League club at this stage with this being their fifth season at this level. They have been tenants at the Indodrill for the past couple of seasons before initially starting out life at Maryhill Juniors' ground. BSC won this competition in their debut season and reached the final last year. Their squad carry a mixture of youth and experience in the form of Ross McMillan, Martin Grehan, Stevie Murray and David Winters, who will be a familiar name to Rose supporters following his spells at Sauchie and Pollok.
They finished third in the Lowland League last season and are currently lying fourth in the table at the moment, where five points separate the top six sides. BSC are also still in the Scottish Cup having received a bye in round one following Selkirk's demise and defeating fellow LL rivals Cumbernauld Colts at Broadwood and can look forward to a trip to Station Park in two weeks time to face Jim Weir's Forfar Athletic in the third round.
Bonnyrigg come into this fixture off the back of a couple of tough fixtures recently at Newtown Park and Saughton and interim manager David Burrell will have been delighted to have returned from those venues with maximum points. The last 24 have all been about the appointment of Robbie Horn as the new manager but David will still be in charge of team affairs this weekend. No doubt both the players and management team will be looking forward to visiting one of the top Lowland League sides to gauge as a team the level they are current at, and aspire to be come the end of the season.
Admission for Saturday's game is £7 adults, £3 concessions with U16s free.
