Unfortunately we have had to take the decision to cancel our proposed Sportsman's Evening in the Masonic Hall on April 11th, due to the lack of tickets sold.

This is disappointing on a number of fronts, not least because we made every effort to keep costs down to £20 and the funding gap that this has created, as we rely on a number of funding streams other than the lottery and gate receipts to continue to maintain a competitive team on the park and maintain the facilities themselves.

This is the first time in a couple of years that we have tried to run a 'smoker' as the last one was cancelled for the same reasons. Other local clubs such as Dalkeith, Penicuik and Musselburgh manage to sell out these events year in, year out so we can't understand where we are going wrong with our attempts.
